removal of wrong telephone numbers on accounts

Ever get that SMS or Call from a debt collecting company looking for someone you don't know or have heard from in years. Well Ver-Tex isn't very good at listening. After receiving a SMS for someone i haven't seen or heard from in years threatning me to pay the account, I call in and politely ask them to remove my number as I don't have any contact with this person anymore. First they can't even find the account on the Ref no in the SMS or my cell no. After eventually finding the account, I was assured that my number was removed and won't be bothered anymore. Ha! Two week later I get the same SMS. When the consultant told me she will remove my number from the account, but she hasn't even asked what my number is, she drops the call when I ask for a manager. Call again, same thing, after the 3rd try the consultant informs me that my number is not on the account but they will send SMS 3 or 4 times to really make sure that this is the wrong person. REALLY?!? Now I can expect 2 or more SMS and call in again to verify that this account doesn't belong to me. Honestly this is irratating and dam right harasment, why else would I call in twice to stop the SMS?
