Receiving SMSes although im not a client

I am not, and have never been, a customer of Vertex Solutions, yet I continue to receive monthly SMS updates relating to another client’s account.

I have contacted your support team multiple times over several months requesting that my number be removed, but the messages have continued. These SMSes contain sensitive information, including partial bank account details, which no third party should be able to see. I’m sure your actual customers would be extremely concerned about this lack of data protection.

To make matters worse, I have just been on the phone with your support team, and my call was ended before I had finished explaining the issue. At no point have I been rude or aggressive, but this situation has become extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

As I have never given consent for my number to be used, and have formally requested removal on multiple occasions, this ongoing communication appears to be in direct violation of the POPIA Act. This raises serious concerns about how personal information is handled by your company.
