Misrepresentation and Lack of Transparency

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional conduct of Ver-Tex Solutions. Their settlement letter reflected an amount that did not match what was shown on their own customer portal or statement. Their settlement letter was actually significantly higher than what the statement and the customer portal declares. The portal clearly indicated a qualifying discount, yet the settlement offered was significantly lower than stated.

When I queried the discrepancy, Ver-Tex provided conflicting explanations and failed to issue a proper, itemised statement of account that includes their fees and charges. Despite several requests, no clear breakdown or feedback from the credit provider has been provided. I then contact the credit provider and sent them all the proof from Ver-Tex. Shortly after Ver-tex advised that they contacted the credit provider and negotiated a higher discount percentage yet the calculations still did not add up to the discount percentage they stated. This is also inaccurate because I contacted the credit provider.

This matter has now been formally reported to the National Credit Regulator and the Council for Debt Collectors for investigation into possible misrepresentation and non-compliance with the National Credit Act.

I never denied owing the money but why should a consumer pay almost 15% more than what they should? And why should a consumer be ******* into believing figures that don't make sense and then get arrogant emails to question their intellectual capacity. Anyone can calculate a balance due and deduct a discount percentage - except Ver-Tex?

Consumers deserve honesty, accuracy, and transparency, not confusion and contradiction.
