hotspotter, recuebox and techtrace. Services not agreed to

I am receiving text messages that I have been signed up to services such as hotspotter, recuebox and techtrace which I have never agreed to. Apparently this is from a company called VAS Network. I will wait and see if any debit orders are made before I lodge a formal complaint. But it seems like everyone is linking this to their Vodacom contracts - how else would they get our banking details. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a phishing ****?
