Varsity College are hypocrites

Varsity College allows two extensions for assignments PER YEAR. I was an almost 80% average learner last year through both semesters and never once took an extension and the same applies for the first semester of this year. I have recently had to deal with a particularly bad situation and as a result took my first ever two extensions this semester. I again required two extensions for the upcoming exam period as a result of these unavoidable circumstances and was swiftly turned down with no alternative. I am not a lazy student, my track record shows that.

The VC Support system often takes a day or two prior to replying to any queries which within of itself is poor, but they also are seemingly unable to realize sometimes people go through circumstances that last longer than two extensions. More than that, we are told to adapt when faced with hardships out of our control and yet they have the gall to ask us to adapt when, as a result of their own internal issues, we were forced to start 2 weeks later than normal and furthermore they released our take-home exam 7 hours late. It was not just one course either.

In short, Varsity College is seemingly unable to make exceptions for those currently facing difficult times and yet expect their students to understand when they make a gross error (such as the aforementioned 2 week late start or 7 hour late exam release for not just 1 subject). They are unable to put themselves in the shoes of their students and are unwilling to try their hardest to make any plan at all (see also the petition for an extension for a subject with over 90 students having signed already).
