Ongoing Registration and Support Issues

The level of support I have experienced as a returning student has been extremely disappointing. Every aspect of my registration process this year has been unnecessarily stressful and problematic. My student profile was not migrated, which prevented me from both logging a support ticket and completing my registration. After eventually managing to log a ticket, I waited a week for a response, only to be informed that IT would migrate my profile. This migration took a further three days to complete, by which time I was penalised for late registration — despite the delay being entirely outside of my control. When I was finally able to register, incorrect modules were reflected on my account. I logged two additional support tickets to resolve this. During a telephonic discussion about my modules, I was informed that my previous year’s modules had not been deferred and were marked as incomplete. This was extremely concerning, as I had spent hours last year going back and forth to ensure those modules were properly deferred. I was advised telephonically that not submitting assessments would effectively serve the same purpose as deferral. Furthermore, the registrar declined to accept a medical letter from a mental health institution — on two occasions — as supporting documentation for my request to defer. Now, after being registered for incorrect modules on my Emeris account, I still have no clarity on which modules I am officially enrolled in. I have had to contact lecturers personally to seek assistance, as Emeris support does not appear to be treating my case with urgency or seriousness. The ongoing lack of communication, accountability, and support has left me feeling extremely frustrated and disheartened. I have reached a point where I am considering forfeiting the academic year entirely in order to transfer to an institution where administrative processes and student support are handled more effectively
