Incompetency from college
<div>I have been with VC since June 2023 and did not experience any issues until June/July 2024, when I was due to receive my results. I began with a higher certificate, but when it was time to obtain my results, I never received them. VC changed the exam date for one of my exams, which required me to switch campuses as I could not take the exam in Johannesburg. The notification was sent out on June 6th, and I logged a ticket the same day. I have documentation from June 10th to June 27th confirming my approval to write at a different campus. When my results were due, I had to wait an additional three or four days because the college claimed they had never received any communication from me regarding my request to write elsewhere. After resolving this issue, I received an email advising me to make such requests well in advance, rather than receiving an apology for their error. Subsequently, I had to accept an offer letter and pay a pre-registration fee, which I did. Despite this, I experienced significant delays and back-and-forth communications with the college, causing me to miss the first week of my new semester. The semester started on July 22nd, but my registration was only sorted the following week. Additionally, my subjects were not loaded onto VC Learn because the finance department could not allocate my payment correctly, as I had not been informed of the reference to use for the registration fee payment. As an existing student, I should not have been required to pay another registration fee and was advised to request a refund. I logged a ticket, and a representative named +++++ responded with the necessary steps. I submitted all required information, and +++++ confirmed she would forward the request to finance. After sending four follow-up emails and eventually calling the finance department, I discovered that my request had never been forwarded. I had to resend everything, and my refund process has yet to begin. The frustration and stress caused by the college over the past month and a half have been overwhelming. It is unacceptable that it takes up to five days to receive feedback on emails, especially when urgent matters are involved. I believe the college needs to improve its internal processes and staff management to better assist students who invest significant money in their education. It is unfair for students to repeatedly phone the college due to its failure to fulfill its responsibilities.</div>
