Vvm help with cancelled SABC account please?

I have a serious complaint about this company.

Apperently my CANCELLED SABC license were giving over to them.

Ok another long story to keep short. More than 5 years ago I bought a TV set at Joshua Doore and took out a license.

3 months later I sold my TV to my parents after financial problems during my divorce.

I did informed the SABC of this, long story short I followed their instructions on how to cancel the account, affidavits and all, next year the process of cancellation were repeated. Then for longer than 3 years I did not hear from SABC.

Now all of a sudden they gave my over for the amount of over R1800!!!!

Surely I am not responsible for this account after I followed the correct procedures to cancel?

VVM are very root when they call you, they do not what to listen to me, just want to know when will I pay.

I will not pay as I did cancel my account. And are not resposible for this money.

Sorry to say, after confirming receipt of documents of cancellation, I kept this affidavits for over 3 years. However last year when I moved I destroyed it, because the matter were solved according to me over 3 years ago.

Please assist me urgently.
