VVM debt collecting Idiots try to bully me into paying an amount they cannot prove

A BUNCH OF RUDE IDIOTS!

These people debt collect for Vodacom. They send me and email and call me to tell me I owe money to Vodacom. I explain that I am busy and I am rudely told to pay more attention to paying my bills.

I call them back explain that Vodacom has been sending zero statements and invoices and has incorrectly assigned some other persons account to mine and that I am unaware of any monies outstanding. They want me to pay over R3000.00. I request statements and invoices to prove this amount as these debt collecting idiots say that they are unaware of how the amount was concluded and just that they must collect it. It is like saying I need to repossess a black vehicle and then just take the first black one you see! This is *******, you need to be able to prove an amount owed. I receive the statement and the email suggests that the contents are self explanatory. So I do a reconciliation of this self explanatory contents and find, zero invoices, more than one invoice issued in a single financial period, credit notes, varying amounts all on a PREPAID contract with a set installment. WHAT A DAMN JOKE!!!! IF THIS WAS SO SELF EXPLANATORY WHY HAVE VVM NOT SEEN THIS

Someone calls from VVM and asks me to send an email stating that I am disputing the amount AFTER I had sent a detailed reconciliation stating exactly that!

I have sent numerous emails following up! NO RESPONSE!

I received an email today, see below: Dear Sir / Madam,

ARE THEY REALLY THREATENING TO AFFECT MY CREDIT RATING! ON WHAT GROUNDS? THEY CANNOT EVEN PROVE THE AMOUNT OWED!

I have mentioned that I am willing to pay if the amount can be proved. In my reconciliation I actually do owe Vodacom and have agreed to pay that ONLY. I cannot pay for incompetency and lawyers, so I will approach the Ombudsman and explain how these idiots are bullying me into paying an amount they cannot prove and if my credit rating has been *****ED they are sure to pay!
