VVM a disagrace

So this morning I get a message from a friend of mine of an SMS that was sent to him from VVM (which I've never heard of before). My name and surname and account number on the SMS. They couldn't send me an email because apparently they didn't have it or even my contact number so they decided to ***** the phone numbers of people that I know and send the sms to them about my Vodacom account which I've been paying. I've been trying to get a hold of Vodacom but they also take forever to answer the phone or even to get to speak to someone.
