Sms sent to wrong number

My FATHER received a sms stating that he's SPOUSE ( with my intials) need to contact VVM urgently regarding a legal matter. Thing is i have never heard of VVM, i have not received an email, sms or phone call EVER so how did they get my father cell number??? I do not provide hes number for any of my business. He is a pensioner of 75 years old. So i want to know how and where did they get hes details before even getting mine, and i want to know what they are needing. <br>
