Value Co is dishonest

Dishonest and rude staff and management.

Purchased 3 carpets, all the same size. At the register there was confusion about the price of one, as the items were not priced individually, but according to which pile they were on. The staff and manager insisted the one is priced at R1099, instead of R799, like the other two, and continually insisted that the piles were organized correctly. I tried to explain to them that you cannot guess the price of items depending on which ‘pile’ I found it, but was ignored. Upon returning two of the carpets two days later (as previously arranged) staff and managers now argued that they would only reimburse me R799 for the R1099, because I don’t have proof that I paid R1099 for this one carpet. I had a till slip, but they clearly rung up another item’s barcode to get the more expensive price. I battled with staff member after staff member to get the correct refund, but now they all again backed each other up as to not get into trouble. After almost an hour a more senior manager had to go through the security footage to validate my claim. Not one of the sales staff or the other managers even attempted to apologize.
