Horrible service @ Value co CITYVIEW

I had the word experience at Value co Cityview I purchased an item only to find out when I got home that it was incorrect I returned it the next day for an exchange not refund they asked for a receipt I then explained to them that the previous day when I mad the purchase I also bought chocolate for one of their staff member who told me she was hungry and hadn’t eaten the whole day and decided to leave the chocolate with the slip by the security so she won’t be accused of *****ing it however I do have proof of purchase from my bank since I paid by card I then showed them the bank notification and offered to print it out should need be the manager on duty could care less she rudely told me SORRY CANNOT HELP I then told her this message can give them an exact time of transaction which should make it easier for them to track and reprint the receipt and process my exchange she decided to walk away and and told me she’s busy i asked her reminded her that that goes against SA CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT there’s no was a store cannot reprint a receipt of the previous day’s transaction and the whole purpose of producing a receipt it for it to serve as proof that it is their product and a proof of transaction with their company name is proof enough and they are not denying the transaction however they still refused to do the exchange I was utterly disgusted by the lack of empathy and rudeness as well as the way they treat their staff I decided to leave the product with the security since she already walked away and left me standing like an idiot
