Be careful of being overcharged at Value Co in Watercrest Mall, Waterfall, Durban

Just visited the Value Co in Watercrest Mall and the price for one of the items rang up R5 more than the price marked on the item. The teller called someone who apparently was the owner's wife and she refused to give me the item at the price marked on it. She said that if I wanted it for R5 less, then someone else would have to pay that R5. She called one of the guys who worked there and said that he would have to pay the R5, because he should have changed the price tag. Besides the obvious rude and offensive behavior of the owner's wife, it makes you wonder what is going on in this store. Are we regularly being overcharged, perhaps on purpose? And if the customer picks it up, are the staff having to pay the balance? Surely there must be regulations governing practises of retail stores such as these that can make them aware and hold them accountable. They are clearly operating according to their own rules.
