Empty promises
The sales personnel of VHI talked us into signing up with VHI with lots of empty promises. We indicated that we are already part of another group and cant afford VHI on top of the other group. The sales manager then explained that they would gladly sell our other points and the calculations indicated that this is promising. He also promised that the first sale would go through within the first 3 months. It is more than a year later and not one sale came through. I could also not cancel the contract as was promised by the sales manager, there is a clause that the full amount needs to be paid in case of cancellation. One of the sales personnel also indicated that he worked for our other vacation club, after confirming if this is legal and in line, I learned that this practice is not allowed. All sound very promising when the sales pitch is done, be careful.
