Refusal to refund registration payment

My brother app**** to the university now for the second time last to be admitted this year. He was accepted earlier this year and we paid his registration fee, the next day he went to the institution in order to get assistance as he was struggling to register online. He was told that he could not register, which he accepted and came back home; however, we have sent an email with all the required documents in order for us to get the refund of his registration payment. Countless emails have been sent to follow up on this matter but no acknowledgment or response is received. Our emails have been ignored by the personnel furthermore, the finance department does not even answer calls.

This was done last month on 14 February 2023, to date, no response has been received from the University.

It is appalling that parents try by all means to register their kids; however, the money that they have worked hard for cannot be returned by the said institution.

This is truly unacceptable and disappointing as I am a product of VUT, but I am embarrassed about their conduct.
