A disgusting and traumatized long weekend at Uvongo River Resort

We stayed for a week at Uvongo River Resort during the Easter Long Weekend only to realize that we were Overcharged for poor service and terrible accommodation. Firstly upon checking in they placed us in the wrong unit. We then had to move all our stuff from that unit into another. Then there was no water whats so ever for the first few days in the unit that they had placed us in. We had to purchase water to drink and bath, keeping in mind that we had a little girl who is 7 years old. We then realized that the ceiling trap door in the bathroom was left open and there were birds flying around up in there, another sleepless night. The following day after coming from the beach we only came to see that upon entering the unit the kitchen and lounge was getting flooded as there was water coming through the kitchen light and a pipe that had burst in the ceiling. We had to mop the place and use the sanitary bins to retain the water from causing more flooding to the unit. Only then after numerous complaints the gentleman who I assume was the handyman came through and eventually transferred us to another unit. What a schlep to move all over again. I certainly would not recommend this place to any person or holiday maker.
