Tax invoice

I work for an institution that pays for my dependant's tuition fees. She registered for 2021 at the University Of Pretoria and her student number is u***7. I am the person that is responsible for the fees. We have a system at work where we have to capture study aid for our dependants. One of the documents required by my employer is a Tax Invoice for the outstanding fees for 2021. Although my employer pays the tuition fees the Tax invoice must be in my name as I am the 1 responsible for the fees. I will then capture the Tax Invoice on the system at work. The system as well as our Human Resources Department will then keep track of the fees paid. I will then pay benefit tax on it.

On the 28 April 2021 I contacted Lana Pieterse by e mail requesting a Tax invoice. She then forwarded the e mail to Tinus Venter and Precious Tshivhase. Precious Tshivhase then sent me an e mail stating that they do not issue Tax Invoices to students and parents anymore. I tried to explain my situation but she refused to take it into consideration. I even asked all of them " What is so special about the University of Pretoria that they do not issue Tax Invoices ". All companies issue Tax Invoices if so requested. Most companies only pay their outstanding accounts after receiving a tax invoice. She wants my employer to contact her so that she can get the company Vat number and other details. The tone of her e mails shows that she is an extremely arrogant woman. It is her way or no way. There is no middle ground. The more I tried to explain that I will pay the Vat and the benefit Tax on this fee account and that is the reason that I need the tax invoice in my name.

I want to pay the fees on this account. If I do not submit a tax invoice the system at work will reject my claim. I find that this is very poor service from the University. My daughter studied with them before and I did not have a problem getting a Tax Invoice. I captured it on the system at work and it was accepted. But now when I request a Tax Invoice it is refused. How does the University of Pretoria expect me to pay this account........ People should stop passing the buck and make a decesion.
