Mostly a difficult experience

I attended UP from 2015 to 2019 (I did a Bachelor's degree and an Honours degree). My experience with Economics was mostly positive- the lecturers were knowledgeable and helpful whenever I had doubts. My experience with Statistics, however, was mostly negative. The lecturers showed a lot of favoritism- they would give certain students more information and better access to questions for exams, etc. I had problems with my supervisor during my Honours year, and both my supervisor and the head of the department refused to help (when it's their job). During my university life, I was struggling with my mental health. I visited Student Support for psychological guidance and it was quite disappointing. The 'psychologists' didn't show up half the time for scheduled appointments and they even told me to stop coming because they couldn't 'help out after a few months'. According to them, I was supposed to have enough s****s to deal with the anxiety and depression on my own. The IT labs was also a disaster. Most of the times I went there to do work, the computers would shut down and all my work was left unsaved. I once los my USB there and when I went to the lost and found, instead of them helping me (like they are paid to do), I was instead mocked and ridiculed. My overall experience was quite poor. A lot of the lecturers like to brag that their students are able to find jobs quite easily. In my experience, this is not true. I struggled to find a job afterwards and although I want to further my studies, I know for sure that I will never go to UP again.
