Walk in applicants are given priority over applicants who app**** on time.

I am an applicant who submitted my application last year in July for Mphil Engineering Management. A letter was issued out stating that the main stream qualification is full and that I have been moved over to the short learning programme (SLP). The fees are R7000 per module compared to the usual fees of R4200 per module. This is ridiculously high! I even had to pay R5000 last year to secure a place on the SLP.

My complaint and what bothers me is that, walk in students this year are being accepted on the main stream MPhil qualification. This is just unfair! Why are SLP students not being prioritized?

Why are we then advised to apply on time in the previous year when we have this type of unfairness?
