Unhelpful student assistant

I would like to lay a complaint about the poor service I got from Thabo, a NSFAS student assistant at UJ bunting road, Block B blue 15. On the 22nd of November 2017 I accompanied my younger sister to apply for NSFAS at UJ. We were told to go to B blue 15 at the Bunting road campus where we will be assisted to apply online. When we got there we had to greet Thabo more than twice to get his attention. I told him what we were there for and he just pointed me to a PC without saying a word. He never explained the process, we had to figure out ourselves how to get through the application process. It was not only us, the undergraduates that were also in the room were also terrified as they did not understand how to apply online. Firstly, they were doing this for the first time and they cannot be expected to just breeze through it. Whenever one of them made a mistake he would shout at them. On top of that he was busy watching YouTube videos instead of doing his job. We later gave up and left the room to apply at the comfort of our home since we could not get helped by the designated person. My main concern is the undergrads we left behind whom I feel might not have access to the internet. They had to go through constant abuse from that boy. These kids are already stressed about their matric exams, getting into the university, and getting funding while they’re at it. They do not need any more stress from people like Thabo who feel like they are doing underprivileged people a favour. I am also a UJ graduate and will not stand to see this institution loose its credibility due to negligent employees. This makes one question if he went through proper training. He lacks people s****s and has bad attitude. Something needs to be done about this as it is totally unacceptable.
