********* practises towards students

I wrote a test not too long ago and had a power outage in my area that hit about an hour before I was going to write. When I emailed the lecturers they simply told me there was no alternative test and that I either write or I forfeit the marks. If cheating is ********* than so is not giving students a fair chance to write especially if it's things out of their control.
