UJ Phasing Out Engineering Diploma programs in a Healthy manner.

My name is Linda Sithole, in 2015 I registered at UJ for a 4 years extended Civil engineering program (UJ student no: ***). I used to be UJ student and suppose to be a UJ Diploma_Civil engineering student this year. How ever I was kicked out of the system and program last year December because UJ is phasing all Engineering diploma programs by the end of 2020. In extended-program(diploma civil engineering) at UJ we are given maximum of 6 years to complete and this 2020 is my 6th year but still UJ excluded me from the program. Recently UJ came up with an "INTERVENTION FOR COMPLETION BY 2020" plan to help all the students who were excluded in December 2019, the plan caters for all Engineering programs. In the Intervention plan it is only the Civil program(from Civil Depart) that only offers two theoretical modules (i.e Geotech Structural Analysis only) whiles other Engineering programs offers up to 7 theoretical modules. So, many (80%) students in Civil who were affected by the phasing of engineering Diplomas have Soil Mechanics as one of outstanding modules. But the following are Conditions the Student should meet in order to qualify for the Intervention plan : * Good day HelloPeter.

But the following are Conditions the Student should meet in order to qualify for the Intervention plan : * You must have five or fewer taught modules left to graduate; * You must have been registered for all of these modules in 2019; * You must also register for and complete any outstanding WIL in 2020; Your outstanding modules must be examinable - modules and module outcomes which cannot be assessed via an exam (as determined by the respective department) will not qualify; - Additional conditions may be imposed based on regulatory requirements, including the maximum allowed time to complete a qualification: 5 years for the National Diploma and 6 years for the National Diploma (Extended) at the end of 2019. I meet all the above stated requirements but still my HOD told me I do not qualify for the intervention program. When i asked him why he tells to go to the faculty, and when i get the the faculty officer (Hazel) told me I do not qualify for the Intervention plan because I have more than two theoretical modules and only two with two modules are welcomed to register.

Can someone from UJ tell what am I suppose to do with my life now, I mean I came to UJ to better my life but I'm living in depression thinking of all the years and money i have spent here and I walk out of UJ with no qualification and a academic debt of R120k? UJ deprived me of full service of services.
