Pathetic service
This has been, by far, the worst experience I’ve had with a medical aid. No Notification on Rejected Claims: The only time I find out about a rejected claim is months after the fact, usually from the doctor or specialist, once they inform me that I haven’t paid. This is completely unacceptable. I receive notifications when claims are submitted, but absolutely nothing when they are rejected.
Delayed Communication: A clear example is the case of my daughter’s hospitalization in March. I was only informed in July when i called them that some days after her hospital stay would not be covered. Imagine the financial stress of being contacted four months after the fact — with no prior warning — and being told that the bill is now mine to pay. There seems to be no system in place to promptly inform members of issues with claims. This results in unexpected expenses, missed payments, and damage to our relationships with healthcare providers. If had to rate their service i would give them 0 a big fat one
