Disappointment in Medical Aid Scheme Umvuso Health

Good day

I’m writing today in great disappointment with your medical aid scheme. I have been employed with Edcon for 24 years on a medical aid scheme with no issues. We were outsourced to Accenture Services and then back to Edcon. With the transition we were compensated to charge medical aid and your consultants came out and help lengthy discussions with us of your scheme and benefits. In the discussions we were told to when filling out the form to tick off all our illness and be honest which would not have any impact going forward. There was no waiting period we were covered immediately. To my surprise I was scheduled for a scan and your medical declined due to no benefit. This was a delay since 24th February all calls and emails at the end no joy. For the first time in history I have never experienced such disloyalty as it was all misleading. Unforeseen illness happens it is reality as I went to GP for insomnia to find out that I had a swelling on my neck. I’m very disappointed and will make Edcon Executive aware of this incident to ensure staff are not inconvenienced and that they look into other medical aid schemes. This scheme is clear ******* and attitude toward members stinks. You are playing with people lives here.

I will cancel my membership due to my horrific experience. Helen Bennett ***
