Pathetic and Poor Services from Unity Health - We need our funds to be reimbursed as soon as possible due to insufficient funds on our Gold Unity Health Plan
Good day,
On the 18th of June 2021, I went to Dischem at Wonderpark Mall for medication. However, when I got there, a lady assisted me and accepted my Unity Health Elixi Gold Membership but when she issued the medication, she showed me that there were insufficient funds in both me and my wife's Unity Health Account. I personally never heard of something like that before with any Medical Insurance in South Africa.
Due to the insufficient funds on both me and wife's Unity Health Account, I had to pay cash for all the medication with an amount of R 1 295.47. This is unacceptable because what's the point that we are Gold Members of Unity Health Elixi but when we use their services, we get turned down? I mean this is really unacceptable because we pay every month for our Membership but yet Unity Health provides a POOR AND PATHETIC SERVICE!!!
We want the R 1 295.47 to be reimbursed as soon as possible because Unity Health were suppose to cover the costs however, we had to pay with our own fees and Bank Account...which is unacceptable!!!!
The funds needs to be reimbursed otherwise we will take further action against Unity Health for being *****S and ********. Never in my life have I ever heard of insufficient funds on a Medical Insurance in South Africa but Unity Health Elixi manages to do that.
We felt embarrassed by the fact that we had insufficient funds in our Medical Insurance Plan which was really weird. We haven't received an email from Unity Health that we don't have funds available anymore.
Their lack of communication is Poor and Pathetic. Unity Health are always delayed when it comes to payments, emails, calls or when a client needs a reimbur*****t.
We won't recommend Unity Health to anyone in South Africa because they are a bunch of ********** and ********..
