Poor service delivery, showing little to no regard for your business needs as long as they benefit

I have a serious and long-standing complaint regarding the business transaction and service relationship I have had with the company, United Business Solutions, since purchasing a printer machine in 2022. Shortly after installation, I began experiencing a wide range of technical issues with the machine. Initially, it was the fuser, which was replaced with the one they had from another machine, but problems persisted. I encountered paper jams, malfunctioning finishers, scanner and copier failures, and ultimately, severely poor print quality. These issues have continued persistently over the past two years, despite regular call-outs—often monthly or even more frequently—and ongoing technician visits. By late 2022, the machine's unreliability had started affecting my business performance, with clients turning away due to delays and poor-quality printouts. This resulted in missed deadlines, loss of income, refund demands, and severe reputational damage. I even lost a major contract due to the machine breaking down in the middle of a project. In 2023, the situation worsened when the finisher component was removed for repairs and never returned. Repeated follow-ups were met with inconsistent excuses, ranging from unavailable parts to Konica Minolta delays. Meanwhile, the machine malfunctioned, producing faulty prints with lines, color errors, scanner failures, and more. In December 2024, despite multiple calls, I was told to wait again due to year-end closures. This delay resulted in the loss of significant seasonal income. Eventually, in January 2025, a technician attempted a temporary workaround rather than replacing the necessary part. By February 2025, new issues arose, including error codes, further color print defects, and scan functionality breakdown. A technician acknowledged that the drum unit was faulty and promised a replacement, which never arrived. I was then informed that I would be provided with a loan unit while my machine was repaired in the workshop. April 17, 2025, after I formally requested to cancel my agreement and cease all payments, a machine—allegedly a loan unit—was delivered and left at my premises, still wrapped and non-functional. I was then informed that I do not have a valid rental contract, despite having made consistent payments and being under the impression that my account was in good standing with the bank. To date, no one has taken accountability, and my business has been non-operational for two months. Eventually, I was informed—without clear explanation—that I apparently did not have a rental agreement with the company. This came as a shock, considering I have been paying service fees and rental payments through the bank consistently since the initial contract in 2022. I have furnished all proof of these payments, yet I am still being held liable for a total amount of R112,000 and threatened with machine repossession. To this day, my business continues to suffer from a lack of functioning equipment. The "loan" machine remains wrapped and unusable. I have lost substantial revenue, loyal clients, and business opportunities due to repeated equipment failures, poor service delivery, and misleading communication from United Business Solutions. Below is a summary of the main issues I have encountered: • Frequent technical breakdowns, sometimes within weeks of servicing • Delayed or ignored service requests • Persistent drum unit, finisher, and scanner problems • Finisher taken for repairs in 2023 and never returned • Severe print quality issues (lines, dots, color distortion) • Misleading information regarding contractual obligations and payments • Inconsistent and poor communication from their staff • Delivery of a non-functional loan unit with no proper installation or support • Financial loss, including refunds to clients, missed opportunities, and loss of trust I have exhausted all internal avenues with United Business Solutions and now urgently seek your assistance.
