Leased a broken printing machine
Worst customer service ever from the Durban branch. We were leased a broken printing machine that gave us problems from the first week it was delivered, installed and setup by United Business Solutions. Numerous phone calls and emails have been sent but the issue has not been resolved. We even went 3 times to report physically to their offices. Their sales person (Justin) escalated the issue to his manager Brenton who was very rude. He blamed us that we were using wrong settings that is why we encountered those issues. We reminded him that installation and setup was done by them. The machine cannot scan over 10 pages, the colour printouts are smudgy. We even took those printouts to their offices. During our conversation with Brenton, i tried correcting him, he rudely said I mustn't interrupt him when he is talking. When it was my turn to talk, I could not finish the sentence without him interrupting. I reminded him not to interrupt me as well, he arrogantly rep**** "I am giving you 10 minutes". We then decided it is best to cancel the agreement because the contract is based on a working machine and we do not want to deal with people who see us as less human. He said "I don't care, the printer is not mine, it belongs to finance." He then threatened to put me on Credit Bureau. We unplugged their machine and asked to fetch it. We received a call from Wayne who said he is a manager as well. He requested a meeting with us. When he arrived at our workplace , he did not greet anyone, just went through straight to the printing machine and plugged it on as if he is walking into his own bathroom. He told us, he wants to check the machine first then talk to us. We recorded him admitting that the printing machine has a problem. Instead of having a meeting that he requested, he just left. We enquired around about the United Business Solutions, apparently that how they treat their black clients. They ignore them but demand money at the end of the month. For a printing machine that was acquired in March 2025, we shouldn't be experiencing so much problems. Actually they should have exchanged it for a properly working machine. We have sent more than 8 emails of complaints, 3 physical visits and numerous phone calls just for a machine delivered in March.
