Dissatisfied Service Experience

I engaged your services for relocating from Gauteng to KZN. I would like to take this opportunity to express my dissatisfaction with the service we received from Justice and his team.

Firstly, the lack of accurate and truthful communication between your head office and the driver. We expected them to arrive at 12 noon, however they arrived at 4pm and only started packing at 5:30pm. This lead to us finishing at 11:30pm.

The experience was not as we expected. The team were tired when they arrived and clearly ill prepared for the task. My wife and I had to basically be their managers, keeping them on their toes and getting them to work at a reasonable pace. They had no plan of action.

They arrived with substandard boxes and not enough tape. The driver informed me that they did not bring the correct size boxes for the heavy crockery items. I personally had to go and buy boxes and tape, which cost me an extra R1000 Rand which I had not budgeted for.

I had enquired whether the company were able to move my upright piano and was told you were. The team had no idea how to move specialised items. They had no dolly and were carrying the piano (it usually takes 6 men to move it safely) the four of them barely managed. They also covered the piano with damp and wet blankets which lead to damage of the instrument. When offloading in PMB, they would even stand on the piano and other big items to reach other items in the truck.

The arrival in PMB was not any different. After their arrival, the driver asked me if the guys to first have their lunch break…at 3pm. They again only started working at 4:30pm. When off loading, they unpacked things on the street, instead of being them into the house. A number of our items were wet (3 carpets and some boxes). There is clearly a leak in the truck which lead to this. My piano has also been scratched and damaged by the wet blankets. Our mattresses were just left on the pavement getting dirty etc. our headboard even smelled of body odour. We had to have all these items cleaned to get rid of the damp smell from getting wet in the truck.

When using a service one is entitled to a certain level of service and care for ones items. This is the first time that myself and my family have relocated and used such services. A horrible experience. Surely the price of the service should not dictate the level of service received. When they completed the job, the driver was very eager to leave and did not want me to count all the items and boxes before signing the paperwork. I insisted that I check.

I would not recommend this company. Rather spend the extra money and get a reputable company.
