Unipin off-Line - No Lights !!!

I purchased a R100 voucher from Spar, went home and sent an SMS to Unipin to retrieve my Token number. after waiting four hours I had still not received anything. amidst trying to get hold of our local municipality (getting cut off several times, and then being put on hold a few times as well) I tried searching for contact numbers to enquire where to rectify my problem. I again sent the SMS 11 more times, still no response. after spending an entire night in the dark, I then this morning only managed to find out that Unipin is overseen by a company called Blue Label telecoms. I was told that my service provider is off-line. and that I must now e-mail all the relevant voucher details, metre number, Pin and area to [Email Removed] I have an elderly person that makes use of an oxygen machine and can not afford to have the electricity off for extended periods. I find that there is no accountability, no service or even proper support when dealing with these companies.

Hello Mad Mark,

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!!

We see that your R100.00 was processed an hour ago. The reason the token took so long to process was because we have had endless problems obtaining the token from Ekurhuleni's service. Their services are not reliable and it affects a huge amount of customers daily. This is something we continuously pressure Ekurhuleni about.

Here is your R100.00, but we will sms this to your cellphone again.

again, apologies for the inconvenience,

regards

UniPIN
