They were very friendly and professional in the beginning. I felt Michaela went the extra mile for me initially. That being said, I was told to get affidavits that weren't necessary, and I eventually landed up having to submit the supporting documentation myself due to the POPI Act (as I was told). I then had to be the one to continuously follow up with the department (again, apparently due to the POPI Act).

I eventually went to the labour offices myself, and the consultant who is helping me said the entire application was a mess, and even needed to escalate my case to get everything rectified.

Unfortunately UIF Simplicity make use of U-Filing, which even the labour consultant said, is a broken system. Do yourself and favour and rather queue and get a quick payout, thann be 14 months down the line (such as myself) with not a cent paid out. A friend who went direct to labour got her first payout within 2 weeks.
