<p>I signed up in order to get our domestic helper registered with the UIF and get the back payments sorted out. The registration itself seems easy enough via the instructions on the govt site, but they don't have much info regarding how to sort out payments in arrears, hence me using &nbsp;a go-between company.&nbsp;</p> <p>For the registration fee I received some emailed guidelines, almost all of which are available on the govt site for free. &nbsp;Notably absent was the advertised template to calculate back payments. They also provide a web interface for registration, which is easy enough to use, so some value there.&nbsp;</p> <p>I contacted the company via their help email address regarding the back pay issue, a few emails were exchanged with no template being sent and the person responding to the emails apparently unable to understand the salary breakdown. On average it takes two weeks for this business to respond to an email.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>So then we tried phone instead, we managed to get hold of someone who promised to email the template. No email arrived. Tried calling numerous further times and got voicemail. Left voicemail. No response.&nbsp;</p> <p>So now I suppose I have to contact the UIF directly or use a different company.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
