Peeling Couches

I bought the couches and all of a sudden they started peeling. I contacted the Wonderpark store and Mpho told me because 12 months guarantee has passed since I bought them, I had to repair them myself. I contacted Chynell who promised they will fix them for me. Sunday they came to collect them. Today I was told that "unfortunately we won't be able to repair" and was told to pay R3 800 so I can get the new ones. I told them I don't have that kind of cash and I asked what's the money for. I was told is for usage. So my questions are

1. Was I not supposed to use my couches after buying them cash? 2. Was I supposed to put them in a closet? I didn't buy them for this!!! I bought them for usage. I didn't even lease them for that matter.

After several engagements, the money I was told to pay got reduced from R3 800 00 to R1 900. Still I don't understand why I should pay for usage. It's not like I am the one who manufactured low quality products. Why should I bear the incompetence of the manufacturer? This is not fair on my side. I work according to the budget. I didn't budget for "usage" of my couches that I bought cash. If I was told that the life span of those couches is less than 2 years then I wouldn't have bought them. UFO I trusted you with my money that I worked hard for, but I didn't get value for it. I am soo disappointed to say the least.
