Lack of responsibility and ownership

I bought stuff at the fourways ufo and paid over 50k I requested a discount and the manager told me she didn't have the power to authorise such. I needed a masterguard and requested I have that as a gift Instd of the discount ,which was R300 and still she advised she didnt have that kind of power. Most furniture stores will give a discount above 50k especially if paid immediately and not installments. What troubled me is why ufo had in-store managers who clearly have no power to make a decisions on anything without permission from head office
