Signed up to UCOOK for life!

I think uCook might just be able to save marriages!

..and save grown-up lives from being dull, drained and full of microwave noodles for dinner.

If I had to vote again after last week I'd vote the same and add uCook ☺

I have been following uCook since 2015 and I just couldn't get myself to place the first order because it sounded too good to be true and seemed to be unsustainable in terms of pricing for someone on a budget..and and and (excuses not worth mentioning)

BUT

..after going through another week of "what are we going to eat" at 7pm wih a freezer full of food that might be ready to eat at 9pm after I had to fight about unhealthy defrosting methods of chicken in the mic in plastic..going to bed hangry because I'mnot up for that.. it had to change.

I happened to get an email with a 50% offer for a first uCook order last week.

I've kind of been "saving" the sign up order discount as a lifeline. A lifeline for the survival of my sanity and my relationship if I can't keep up with this 1920 picture of the perfect wife cooking, cleaning, smiling and looking fantastic while working full time.

It was time.

No more "what if's" ..what if it is too good to be true and doesn't actually save me from myself and my dinner dilemmas, what if the portions are too small, what if the flavours are too strong or just not good, what if it is not great quality, what if I can't afford it again, what if people find out I can't deal with the daily duties of meal planning, shopping, prepping, cooking, cleaning AND dealing with all the waste that is inevitable when you want to cook healthy, fresh meals with no "seen you before's" cooking in bulk from the previous night for two.

It was time.

It was also payday so I just dived in fully overboard, ordering 7 different meals for 2 people🙃..ordering some servings of 4 just to get the most out of this 50% discount should I not be able to afford food for the rest of the month ever again😂

Wow.

We've only cooked our second meal after receiving our boxes on Monday and I can't contain myself with recommending uCook.

I thought I had to just go public to save another marriage out there..even if I can help save one other woman out there from judging herself in the way I judged myself..but more than that to share the JOY of cooking and a changed home in just two days.

I came home last night finding a man in the kitchen busy packing out our uCook dinner..and it was not an intruder..it was the man who used to be tired after work wanting a whiskey and watching CSI while we have the what's for dinner conversation on the side 😁

So, at 6pm we had our Ucook dinner bursting with flavour and my heart bursting with gratitude, joy and peace.

No waste, Portion size perfect..even a little left over to brag about over lunch today. Happy wife, happy life by uCooking for 2 nights..who would have thought?!

For about R100 a portion you get dinner, a date-activity and some therapy all in one!

This is not a paid review..this is a "please ask me if you need to be convinved and saved from spending your life deciding what'sfor dinner" ..dont wait 9 years like I did🤭

Dinner does not need to be a burden.

It took me 9 years and 1 box to be convinced..and I'm signed up fo life!

*disclaimer..no man was judged in this post..this man in my kitchen actually usually cooks, shops, helps to clean etc..he also just gets stuck in "what would you like to eat" .."I'll cook, just tell me what you'd want to eat"

He is also signed up with uCook for life 😉

Note: Is there any chance for Vegan meal options in the near future? For people making the shift over to a vegan/plant based lifestyle..uCook certainly would be helpful!
