Wrong drop off, no reimbur*****t

I chose 1 Bradfield Dr, Sandton but was dropped at 1 Bradfield Dr, Johannesburg. Upon realising that I was at the wrong location, i wanted the driver to drop me off in 1 Bradfield Dr, Sandton and started another trip, clicked on 1 Bradfield Dr, Sandton and the app showed me that I had arrived whilst I was in 1 Bradfield Dr, Johannesburg. I had to search the nearest place to 1 Bradfield Dr, Sandton which was montecasino and choose the route. I was charged for both trips regardless of the Uber App’s mistake. Uber responded to my query, mentioning that “the fare is correct for the distance travelled. As such, the fare has not been adjusted.

While we understand that your intent was to go to 1 Bradield Dr, Sandton directly, your driver needs to be compensated fairly for their time.”

I do not understand why I should be the one to compensate the driver for Uber’s fault
