Why is Uber allowed to be *******.

Is it just me or is Uber *** *****? Why do I have random charges on my account and everytime I query this it's always an authorisation hold? What the F is that about? Like once I understand to make sure you are using g a valid card but why every single time!!! You request a ride? If you don't have money in the account it will decline the payment and reject the ride. So why is Uber taking so much money from my account and why are they being allowed to continue like this with no consequences. I'm looking through the reviews and they have not responded to one customer here. This is disturbing
