Unsafe Uber ride and payment method failure

This morning I ordered a ride from Uber like I do mornings ..while waiting for my Uber I had changed my payment method from cash to EFT which reflected changed on my app .I got to my destination and the Uber driver did not want to let me out of the car the doors locked he advise me I need to pay him cash and he showed me on his app it still shows cash as a payment method.I showed him on my app it showed EFT card payment.I began to feel unsafe as he had the doors locked and I was Infront of my place of employment. I stayed calm and eventually he let me out after I had told him I will get the cash from I side my work place he just needs to wait a few mins he then proceeded in the times he was waiting to log a non payment on the Uber app for me .When I returned with the cash as promised he took the cash and did not inform Uber so now it's shows I owe Uber money R106 when it was paid in cash to the driver.
