Uber just told me there is nothing they can do about my situation where a driver threatened me to pay double the amount of the trip and still went ahead and reported that I didn’t pay. I paid almost R650 for a R307 trip and they are still asking me to pay an additional R307 because I owe “Uber”, even after explaining the situation and how the driver threatened me they went ahead and sent a link for the payment, that’s all they did. This clearly shows that they condone such behaviour and have no care about our safety as passengers, especially us females.
