Unacceptable Service from Uber

On Friday 30/08/2021 I had made a request of Uber to take me to a medical centre as I was in a boot due to an ankle injury and could not drive. I thought I would make the drivers life a bit easier by waiting for him in the road. The driver was rude about this and insisted I meet him at his chosen location, to which I obliged.

He then proceeded to drop me off at the incorrect location, which I did not realise until later. This resulted in me having to walk in my boot down to the medical centre over a kilometer away. I already deemed this unacceptable.

Upon not getting the item I required at the medical centre, I was advised to try somewhere else. So I ordered another Uber which was confirmed at 15.05. This time I was clear in stating that I was at a specific entrance at the medical centre. Upon arrival on the wrong parking floor, the driver told me he was there. I called and asked him to please pick me up on the ground floor and not the ba*****t parking as I was already tired of walking.

After the call was ended I was looking on the Uber app for the location of the driver, which I noticed started getting further away from me. I sent him messages of exactly how to get to the entrance at which I was waiting, I asked if he was still coming and I tried to call. All of which were ignored by the driver who had decided to stop 3.8km away from me. Eventually at 15:55 I was forced to cancel the trip, which the driver was clearly waiting for so that he would still receive a cancellation fee. After this I was unable to obtain another Uber to get where I needed to.

This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable service, and I hold Uber accountable for the fee that I was charged, as well as the incovenience of me not getting the item which I required to be out of my boot. Upon trying to complain to them on their website I am unable to log in, and have been left on hold when trying to call to the point where I have run out of airtime.

Needless to say, I will never use Uber again.
