UBER’S DANGEROUS BUSINESS MODEL

Today I called an Uber to take me from the Oranjezicht Market to my apartment in Sea Point. Early on in the trip the police pulled him over. He had no licences - drivers or PDP. The officer asked him to get into the passenger seat so that he could drive me home. At this point, the driver ran off and was caught and arrested. I was then driven home by a lovely lady police officer who told me that this is common with Uber drivers in Cape Town. Uber’s response - they will only charge me 25% of the fee and a prepared response that did not address my concerns. THIS TOOK PLACE ON SUNDAY. UBER HAVE CHARGED ME A CANCELLATION FEE AND HAVE SENT ME NUMEROUS GENERIC LETTERS WHICH HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUE. THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILITY
