UBER ripping their customers off with inflated fees

I'm not sure what this 'holding fee' is but when you book a trip, it gives you a figure of what the trip would cost and you book accordingly. What's shocking is that at the end of the trip, the price is increased by 30-40%. I enquired with their call centre and they're useless to say the least. There's nothing logical about the fees.
