Uber ripped us off!

My husband and I took a short ride home one Saturday night after visiting friends. We noticed the driver had a huge crack in his windscreen. He told us he was hijacked and held hostage in his boot for several hours. We empathized with him and gave him a good tip. The next morning at 10am another R500 was deducted from our credit card. When I queried with Uber they said it was a cleaning fee for the mess we had made. We told them that we left the car exactly how we found it. They rep**** with the same story saying we made a mess. After many more emails, they sent us a pic of the so called mess we made in the boot, we didn't even open the boot! No matter how many times I email and complain about being charged unfairly, they refuse to investigate with the driver and continue to reply with their stock standard messages. We were well and truly ********** and I want everyone to be warned. Don't give your credit card details to Uber!! We suspect our driver has found a quick way to buy a new windscreen! Since posting on Facebook I've been told that this has happened to someone else so it seems to be a new ****! Beware!
