Uber ******* pricing - 5 times more expensive one way than coming back again

I used Uber for the first time yesterday and it was a total *******. . I booked in advance for a trip of less than 5km from my house to an eye clinic and was quoted R149 - using UberGo (the lowest) - which I accepted (I thought it was high but since I couldn’t drive myself I had no choice). The return trip, from the clinic back to my house so also the same distance obviously was quoted as R45 - also UberGo - but came up as R32 on the driver’s phone on arrival at my house. I emailed Uber querying why it was R149 going there and R33 coming back and they’re just saying that I accepted the R149 fare and won’t adjust it. Of course I accepted it - it was the only, lowest option! I am not psychic - how could I possibly guess it would only be R32 to come back again? I am not happy AT ALL with this - surely pricing should be based on actual distance travelled - in this case 4.75km - and not on some whim conjured up by an algorithm on their website???? And if I ever use Uber again, which I will not unless they settle this fare dispute, how do I assess if any fare is fair?
