Uber requests in the morning

I have been using the app every morning to get to work. Requesting before 6 AM, but only gets a driver 30-45 minutes later. There are drivers just around the corner from where I am but the app goes for the ones far away from me. Or it will request one driver for ten minutes just for that driver to decline the request. Some days the drivers will accept the request but take up to 5 min to drive off from their destination. I love this app, but using it in the morning to get to work is frustrating.
