UBER PROMO CODE DID NOT WORK

I received a R200 off first uber ride promo code which I acquired from the uber news room site and I app**** it to my new account , however, when I took my first trip I was still charged the full amount.<br> I emailed support at uber and a consultant named Noma M rep**** back telling me that the promo code is only applicable to a invited/referral ride . I rep**** back saying that I got the code from the uber news room site and that it did not say you have to be 'referred' too for this code to work, it said you had to go to promotions on the app and apply this code and but all she did was send me the same exact email again. <br> <br> Please rectify this error and refund my money. <br> This is not the service I come to expect from uber . <br> If a manager could also contact me after 5pm I would appreciate it .<br>
