UBER PRICE ****S

Uber is becoming increasingly ****MY, which is highly disappointing because I’ve always preferred them over other e-hailers. 90% of my ride prices have been adjusted, 100% of the time because of driver behaviour. The last straw was my last 2 rides with them last week. 1. The driver did not end the trip after drop off and by the time they did, the ride price had doubled! 2. Again, the driver didn’t end the trip. This time I was alert because of the previous driver and I cancelled the ride as they were leaving my neighbourhood. I was then charged a cancellation fee which was about half what my trip cost! I took this up in the in-app help AND took it to X and both platforms gave me generic, almost AI-like responses telling me that the rides aren’t eligible for adjustment. I am NOT taking Ubers anymore, I refuse to be abused like this.
