Uber package sending service epic fail

I sent a parcel via uber package the driver did not drop off the items i sent at the location,now he has called me 2weeks later after me calling uber daily for investigation he calls to tell me i must come to his house and collect the sfuff because he got to the destination gate and no one collceted from him. MY ISSUE IS why did he leave the destination with out calling me to tell him what to do if theres no answer on the phone? 2 he has asked me to give him R300 to bring the stuff back to me is this uber rules? Uber has a delivery service platform why are drivers allowed to take a trip and not deliver and ***** us into giving them more money over and above the failed delivery trip amount? @Uber PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS AND GET THE DRIVER TO SEND BACK THE STUFF TO THE LOCATION IT WAS SENT FROM OR TO THE DESTINATION IT WAS SUPPOSE TO GET TO URGENTLY
