UBER: OVERCHARGING
My problem with Uber relates to overcharging on trips. You book an Uber, check the cost, but when you see your account an increased amount is charged to your account. Major problem is that there is no one to assist you with your query.
When this happened to me in a relatively short space of time, I switched to cash.
Now I am being charged extra cash at the end of the trip. The first time, for no reason explained to me , the driver took a longer route. A route that I use at least once a week. I paid the extra R23.
On the same day, on the way back, the driver took a while to get to us. Apparently the Uber app sent him to the wrong address.
At the end of the ride he wanted to charge me R54 more than what was quoted.
I refused to pay and only paid what the app initially quoted.
He accepted the payment knowing he was sitting at a wrong address and I had to phone to tell him where we were.
The problem now is that as soon as I use the app for UBER or UBER EATS a notice comes up that I must pay R54 before moving forward.
Here again. No one to talk to.
I was a regular customer of UBER and UBER EATS. I will not use this app again until the R54 overcharge is cancelled.
For R45 UBER and UBER EATS will be loosing out thousands of Rands of revenue.
I have since yesterday started using BOLT.
