Uber messages worth nothing
🚨 650 Messages. No Evidence. No Explanation. 🚨
This is now a matter of public interest.
I have sent 650 messages to Uber Technologies Inc. requesting three simple things:
1️⃣ The exact reason for my permanent deactivation 2️⃣ The evidence supporting the alleged “serious feedback” 3️⃣ The full communication record re**** upon to make this decision
The only response I have received:
“The decision is final.”
No detail. No disclosure. No proof.
I reported a lost item. I have never been shown a complaint. I have been a user for years. I have been seeking clarity since November 2024.
Six hundred and fifty messages later, there is still no transparency.
When a global platform can permanently deactivate a user without providing the basis for that decision — and then decline to provide supporting information — serious questions arise about procedural fairness and consumer rights.
📢 Journalists covering technology, consumer rights, and digital platforms — I have full documentation of the 650-message thread and the formal disclosure requests.
📢 Regulators responsible for consumer protection and data access rights — I am formally requesting access to the information re**** upon in this decision.
This is no longer about access to an app.
It is about whether digital platforms operating in South Africa believe they owe users accountability and transparency when making permanent decisions.
650 messages.
Still waiting.
Onward to 700.
